I am starting secondary and am doing transition but i am REALLY struggling. None of the teachers know i have tics,i think one of the pupils are catching on but other than that i am lost. I feel really embarrassed because even with the small sniffy tics then i get stares. Earlier today i had the quietest lesson if my whole life and the tics were.... no good at all. Plz help i really need advice,my mum doesnt know and she thinks i am faking. It feels so isolating and i have no idea what to do. Plz give any advice you can!

...does anyone use mobility aids to help with tics?
Something that can help a lot is definitely a preffered seating plan(I recommend closer to the back or Near a friend)As if you are near the back it’s more effort for a student to turn round or near a friend so you have someone to rely on
if it is allowed to have headphones you can were them, acualy music help with tics, but if it isn't ,just try to stey focused on something special, cuz tics are not verry bad when you're focused on something. all you have to do is to forget you have tics , if you focus on that they're gonna worsen. hope this advices will help you
If you can manage parents if not later ing support sorry but these are more for next year but get them started now. I didn't tell my parents school did I regret it. Good luck

I am in y10 and helped with lots of transistor days I think wear a sunflower lanyard tell the senco as it then builds relationships with learning support. Use chat gpt to write a letter with everything you need then write or print out and show to teachers. I have don the letter it worked ask any questions
