hello everyone! here is a safe haven for ✨info dumping✨. if you have a special interest tell us everything. and maybe you'll meet someone with the same special interests as you. bye y'all have an amazing day.
Hey everyone 👋 I wanted to share why Minecraft is such a great fit for me—and I bet some of you feel the same.
Minecraft is this enormous, hypnotically blocky sandbox where you can choose your own pace and path. Sometimes I go into Survival, gathering resources, keeping an eye out for creepers, and just trying not to mess up—that’s when I’m in “challenge mode.” Other times I chill in Creative, with unlimited blocks, just zoning out while building something neat. There’s also Hardcore if I want the stakes to be higher (one life only), or Spectator if I just want to wander and observe.
I play on both Java (PC) and Bedrock (consoles/mobile)—Java is my go-to when I want to mod or tinker, while Bedrock is handy for playing with friends across different devices. Either way, the heart of the game—mining, crafting, exploring, building—is exactly the same.
The dimensions—Overworld, Nether, and End—each have their own vibe. I love how every visit to a new dimension feels different: the calm and familiar Overworld, the fiery and intense Nether, the eerie and mysterious End.
Minecraft is perfect for autistic players, I think, because you can hyperfocus on something—like building a massive base, farming, organizing storage, or designing intricate redstone contraptions. It’s so calming: the music, the simple visuals, the satisfying clink-clonk of placing blocks. If something’s overwhelming—like monsters or loud sounds—you can tweak or turn them off.
I’ve tried multiplayer too—big public servers can get hectic, but smaller realms or private servers are cozy and safe. And on Java, mods are a whole world on their own: change how the game looks, add cool creatures, or totally revamp gameplay.
All in all, Minecraft feels both soothing and endlessly creative. It doesn’t lock you into one way of playing—whether you want comfort, challenge, creation, or community, it’ll adapt to your mood.
Some Cool Minecraft Stats
As of December 2024, Minecraft had over 204 million monthly active players, with a peak of 55 million daily players in that year.DemandSageSci-Tech Today
It’s the best-selling video game ever, having sold over 300 million copies, and by April 2025 had surpassed 350 million copies sold.Wikipedia+1
On large multiplayer servers like Hypixel, there are millions of unique monthly players, with Java-based servers representing about 68% of server-play traffic.SQ Magazine
A Minecraft server specifically for autistic children—Autcraft—has over 18,000 whitelisted players as of January 2025, providing a safe and welcoming community space.
My special interest is in dragons, specifically Wings of Fire dragons. So here are some fun facts:
NightWings developed the first written dragon language.
Kinkajou is the first RainWing to have written something with her own claws in 2,000 years.
RainWings & IceWings are the only tribes that have specific accents. RainWings have an accent close to Australian in the audiobooks, while IceWings accents are high-pitched with a tinge of deep in certain words.
Cliff of the SkyWings wrote the first SkyWing national anthem.
SeaWings are the largest tribe, having 52 known members.
NightWings have the most PoVs (Point of View).
Mantis Hive is considered the smartest Hive, as it is the center of innovation, According to Cricket.
Whiteout is the only dragon to have a confirmed neurological condition, as she has associative synesthesia (and many headcanon that she is autistic).
My special interest is psychology, and this bleeds into everything I do. I'll just give you guys a couple of fun facts:
People with ADHD have a deficit (too little) dopamine in our brains, which causes hyperactivity and inattentiveness in an effort to raise the dopamine levels.
On the other side, people with schizophrenia have an excess of (too much) dopamine in part of the brain, cause an interest in literally everything at once. This causes hallucinations and delusions, which fill in the gaps caused by the brain taking an interest in everything all at the same time.
Autism used to be considered a form of childhood schizophrenia, which we now know if not true, BUT it wasn't too far off the mark, because both have similar genetic markers (correct me if this is wrong, I haven't done a deep dive into this yet).
So my special interest is the band green day! I saw them live on the 13th June and LOVED IT! So here is a bit about them. They formed in 1987 in East Bay, california while in college. The biggest album is American Idiot which is the best album. It follows this person called jesus of Suburbia who turns political and protesty after 9/11. They then turn into St Jimmy who has a lot of rage and has very strong opinions. The whole album basically covers they're story and letterbomb is about no one else protesting and homecoming is about them coming home. The songs all mention one another in American Idiot and its just so good!!!
ok I know this is my own post but I need to find someone with the same special interest as me. 🦕DiNOSauRs 🦖. ok so um for the past 6-7 years I've loved dinosaurs. when I was in 2-5 grade I was masking so much I tried to ignore my autistic traits. and in 6th grade I found out I was autistic. and I've been slowly unmasking and learning about who I am. and one thing I've gone back to are dinosaurs. it was a huge obsession in preschool and kindergarten and now it is again. my favorite dinos are the spinosaurus and the parasaurolphus I also love the pachyecephalosaurus. (so sorry for the spelling autocorrect is being weird and for the weird font I don't know what's going on with that lol)
