- Undiagnosed neurodiversityIn Neurodivergent Corner!20 December 2024I was also labelled as a kid as the loud but hardworking and 'nerdy' one. I have been picked on my life for never fitting in and meeting social expectations. Recently, I have been researching for answers why I'm so loud and 'weird' on the outside but quiet inside. I think I'm autistic, ADHD with social anxiety and high masking for all.00
- Tips for faintingIn Disability FAQs30 December 2024I appreciate the reply! As for an update for anyone else following this or could find this helpful: I tend to not go anywhere by myself as the summer has made everything worse, and something I learned the hard way is apparently pregnancy can make dysautonomia much worse (who would have thought?). Quick update: pregnancy makes it 10000x worse (at least for me), found an amazing and supportive partner, POTS can sometimes go away after pregnancy, life is terrifying but good. And we have a cat (tax added she sleeps like this). Long update: I saw my cardiologist and he basically told me that life is going to suck and to avoid concussions, but he’s had patients that had the dysautonomia go away after pregnancy so it will either go back to normal, get worse, or disappear after birth but right now it’s the worst 9 month flare I’ve ever had. Also to inspire some hope in others, I have found the best partner in the world since making this post and she’s amazing. I know for many of us it’s very hard to keep any form of relationships and it was honestly terrifying to have to share my “burdens” with someone else but it’s not even been an issue. When I first told her about it and what my experience is her first reaction was that everyone has something they struggle with and it’s hypocritical to see others as less than for their struggles. She was scared at first by my syncope episodes since I get twitchy during that look like seizures but all is good. If I pass out in public she’s there to help, if I do it at home in the middle of the night she gets up carries me back to bed and makes sure I’m okay. It’s not even an annoyance to her and she’s never made me feel bad about it. We are worried a little about caring for a baby with my conditions when she goes back to work afterwards but we have a solid support system around in the area. Thanks for checking in and offering advice, I kind of forgot about this post tbh and I appreciate the follow up! :)0

- HomeschoolingIn General Discussion·4 June 2024I'm thinking of convincing my mom to let me be homeschooled. I'm autistic and have sensory issues so that's why I want to be homeschooled, I'm also bullied so there's that. We have the equipment, and I'm old enough to be home alone so I'm not sure why she won't let me. Anyway, the presentation to try and convince her is attached. Please let me know whether you think my mom should let me be homeschooled or not. - Derealization/depersonalisationIn Neurodivergent Corner!·6 July 2024Recently I came to the awareness that I deal with depersonalisation and derealization as an affect of my Schizoaffective Disorder, and I realised I've never NOT felt that way. Lik Ive never looked in a mirror and not been surprised that "oh, I actually do have a body???" Or like constantly feeling like the world is tilting or seeming to be behind a glass? There are a lot of other symptoms that come and go but those are most frequent. Can anyone relate?0060
- Cold UrticariaIn General Discussion·2 May 2024Is there anyone here with cold urticaria? I know it's pretty rare, but my younger brother has it and I'm trying to see if there's anyone that has it here. - Hi, I'd like to know about zaraIn General Discussion·18 December 2023Hi, sorry but I would like to know, because I know she advocates at least for LGBTQ, But honestly I have a little crush 🥰 And obviously nobody likes to have a crush over a lesbian etc Does anyone know what her orientation is? She is so sweet and f**k her disabilities, too me they wouldn't stop me treating that princess like a queen <3 I'm sorry I really don't know what's going on, but ever since seeing her I can't get her out my mind. I wish she is straight even tho I'd have no chance cause she's famous -_- We need to stop the stigma of disabilities, because if Zara was my wife, I'd feel like the king! Love you Zara <3 xxxx0091
